DynaPuff features a casual lettering style with great flexibility of variable font. It has weight and width axes.

I was approached by Google to make a variable font; the brief was a friendly and expressive one that would be used to making dynamic stickers in massages. Their sticker generator engine would convert the user’s text into a sticker, which would benefit from having the flexibility of adjusting weight and width. In other words, their variable axes are not meant for designers, but to be invisible to the users at least in the original intention. That said, you can download the font and use however you like it.

It’s not my typical style, but I had great fun drawing it. To keep the illusion of casual hand-lettering, I drew four variations for each letter which cycle in perceptually random fashion.

The name 'Dynapuff' is another one of my Pokémon-like naming style, i.e. combining two words into one. I like composite naming because it is easier to communicate what the typeface is about (i.e. puffs dynamically), and is much less likely to be already taken.
